Owner of “The Roost,” Grady found his calling during the height of COVID-19. He switched gears (pun intended) from a 14-year career as a Harley-Davidson mechanic to barbering, where his attention to detail quickly accelerated his skills. Observing the barbershops in our area, Grady felt that Bend deserved better. With the unwavering support of his loving wife, Kelsey, a 15-year hairstylist, he dedicated himself to creating a barbershop that is truly one of a kind.
Grady loves doing razor art and designs, finding joy in the creativity and precision it requires. He has also come to cherish the relationships he forms from behind the chair, appreciating the opportunity to connect with his clients on a personal level. Grady believes that God has put him on a path of discipleship, and he uses his shop and skills to serve God and the community.
Beyond his professional achievements, Grady's greatest passion and purpose is being a father to his sweet daughter, Adeline. Balancing his roles as a dedicated business owner and a devoted father, Grady continues to inspire both his clients and his family with his hard work, integrity, and love for what he does.

This one-of-a-kind Central Oregonian started his barbering journey in 2023 and quickly established himself as one of the go-to barbers in town for clean blends. Isac is as humble as they come, especially for an artist. His skills range from drawing and airbrushing to tattoos, but the thing he does best is putting hair on the floor. A natural and very talented barber, Isac excels in creating styles that leave his clients looking and feeling their best.
Isac's passions include his children, personal and professional growth, and ensuring his clients are filled with confidence as they leave the shop. He takes great pride in his work, always striving to improve and innovate his techniques. His dedication to his craft and his clients is evident in every cut and style he delivers.
Beyond his technical skills, Isac values the relationships he builds with his clients, enjoying the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life. His genuine care and attention to detail make him a standout in the barbering community. Isac’s blend of artistic talent, humility, and passion for his work has made him a beloved figure in Central Oregon.

Having been her own barber for well over a decade, Megan wanted to dive deeper into the craft. A genuine soul, she loves to laugh with her family and friends. She cherishes quality time with her 15-year-old son, Oliver, especially while enjoying the outdoors and the warmth of the spring and summer sun.
Megan is passionate about growing as a beginner in photography, combining her creative interests to develop her artistic eye. Megan's dedication to personal growth and her enthusiasm for her craft bring a unique and welcomed outlook to our team.

Axel Martinez began his barbering journey in 2023, honing his skills at home by practicing on siblings and anyone else who would let him. His dedication and natural talent quickly became evident, laying the foundation for his career. He has a diverse range of interests that keep him inspired. He has a deep love for music, cherishes time with his large family, and has the unique experience of growing up bilingual.
Outside the barbershop, Axel enjoys working on cars and expressing his creativity through art. For him, barbering is just as much a passion as it is profession. He thrives on the creativity and artistry he can bring to each cut, and he finds great satisfaction in positively impacting someone's appearance. Axel is always on the lookout for new styles and trends, ensuring his clients leave the chair looking their best.
Axel recently celebrated a major milestone by marrying his best friend. This joyous event adds to the positive energy and enthusiasm he brings to the barbershop every day. We are thrilled to have Axel as part of our team, where his talent and passion shine through in every haircut.

Chris was born and raised in Bend, Oregon, where he developed a passion for hair design as a form of self-esteem and expression. After college, he moved away from Bend for 16 years, exploring careers in healthcare and business ownership. Despite his success, Chris felt the pull of his true passion—barbering. In 2022, he made the decision to return to Bend, not only to raise his family but to finally pursue the craft he had always been drawn to.
Chris enjoys all aspects of barbering, from classic styles like pompadours, gentlemen's cuts, and straight razor shaves to modern high-texture cuts, skin fades, long hair, and beard grooming. His favorite part of being a barber is helping people look and feel their best, while building meaningful conversations and relationships with his clients.
Outside of the barbershop, Chris treasures life with his wife of over 18 years, Cara, their two children, Mack and Charlotte, and their German Shorthair Pointer, Rocky. He is passionate about weight lifting and enjoys getting outdoors to soak in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, where he is proud to call home once again.

This good boy has been in the biz since 2019 and has been working (service animal) with Grady for a few of years now, so some of you may recognize him. He is a Golden Doodle, or “Goodle” if you will. Don’t be surprised if he comes over for some snuggles on the couch. He loves kids and is always ready to sit for a treat.
Fun fact: he only has one eye, and when he sets it upon you, it is the sweetest sad puppy eye you’ve ever seen. He really knows how to use it to get what he wants. You may hear him sound a little grumpy sometimes, but not to worry. His grumbling and groaning is his way of saying, “I want to go play” or “Don’t you walk by and just ignore me.” or “Hey, I'm cute, look at me!”
This lovable pup brings joy and comfort to everyone at the barbershop. His presence is a delightful addition, making the environment even more welcoming and warm. Whether he's cuddling with clients or charming them with his adorable antics, Maverick truly knows how to make everyone’s day a little brighter.
